Born and raised in Queens, Wali Alviar possesses a rare combination of versatile skills and party persona. In the early 2000’s, he won a DJ battle on MTV, which lead to a feature on MTV’s TRL. This notoriety paved the way to international DJ opportunities as well as numerous corporate tours with MTV, Volkswagen, Heineken, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Having rocked events in over 40 US states, Wali (aka DJ Daddy Dog) performed with Jennifer Lopez and Wu Tang Clan’s Ghostface as well as opened for Joan Jett, Public Enemy, and Lady Gaga and he has also been hired to spin for celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson and Mary J. Blige.

DJ Daddy Dog started incorporating iconic scenes from television and movies synced to audio into his repertoire. He studied video editing and has been accredited as an Apple Certified Pro in Final Cut Pro. His unique DJ style layered with visual clips led him to win a Video DJ award in 2012. Besides being an accomplished DJ/VJ. Wali shared his music expertise teaching the art form at Scratch DJ Academy and Dubspot. On top of all of that, Wali has DJed hundreds of weddings and private events over the years and loves to collaborate with couples to curate a memorable musical experience.
