Rok One is a native New Yorker and has played in venues big and small, and along side the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, Juan Atkins, Todd Terry, Moby, Z-Trip, Diplo, A-Trak, Flosstradamus, Pete Rock, DJ Muggs, The Juan MacLean, Honey Dijon, Holy Ghost! and many more.

Rok’s musical tastes encompass everything from 80’s pop, disco, funk, soul, rock and hip-hop, to the more underground sounds of house, techno, electronic & indie dance. He maintains a bunch of residencies (The Woods, Kinfolk, The Freehold) and has also DJed VH1’s ocumentary “Planet Rock,” “The Dirty Durty Diary” Magazine’s Issue #1 release party with Larry Clark & Tiffany Limos, Calvin Klein Fashion Week parties, the Saatchi & Saatchi holiday boat party. He also opened up for the late great DJ AM on multiple occasions, and regularly guest appears at The Rub (arguably the best party in NYC).

When not DJing weddings or club events, Rok focuses on his monthly Synthpop party “Fine Time”. He is also one half of the duo Black Russian (who have released remixes for Escort, Lana Del Rey & The Phenomenal Handclap Band).
