Born and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, Daniel's love of music began when he was still in diapers. Every Saturday morning his father would dance with baby Daniel in arm to the sounds of weekly funk and soul broadcast on Newark's WBGO. Music always played a major role in Daniel's life, from frequenting punk shows in high school, to his fascination with the family's jazz record collection. In 1999 he bought his first set of turntables which set him on the path as DJ BLT.

In 2007 Daniel moved to NYC and began DJing bars, clubs, corporate events and of course, weddings. Daniel currently hosts a roving loft party called Party Line, which has been running for seven years, featuring an eclectic selection of dance music. Daniel also jointly owns a small online record shop with an inventory of over 50,000 records.
